We labored over the design of this instrument to combine the leading edge of '60's technology (the slim neck and narrow nut, the offset-body balancing, and concentric control knobs) and applied today's leading edge technology (graphite reinforcement, enhanced neck joint, passive pickups by Lakland) to create a contemporary classic.

Also available in a 5-string version, this bass has the same "updated classic" tone as our original 44-60, but is combined with the modern design appointments that make our 5-strings work. You know what that means ....

The Skyline 44-60/55-60 is manufactured to the same specifications as our US-made 44-60/55-60 bass and outfitted with the same passively delicious Lakland J-style pickups. The Lakland pickups replicate vintage bass tones as well as we've ever heard and players love the comfy taper of the 44-60/55-60 neck.
